e-Learning Content Creation

Do you want learning that is fun and meaningful but still effective for your learners?

If so, the WEA Community Grid for Learning can address your needs. It has a team of experienced e-learning developers and e-learning specialists who design effective instructional design solutions and content development support for the Adult and Community Learning (ACL) sector.

What sets the WEA CGfL apart from other e-learning organisations is its focus on teaching and learning in the ACL sector. All projects at the WEA CGfL begin with a thorough study of learners' needs and motivations. The learning solutions proposed by the WEA CGfL ensure that learning is fun and effective.

The WEA CGfL has wide experience developing e-learning solutions and can accommodate yours and your learners needs throughout the creative process.

The Creative Process

Stage 1
Implementation Analysis can be carried out by the WEA CGfL providing decision makers and action takers with an assessment of tactical alternatives for pursuing opportunities for implementing e-learning strategies within their organisations.

e-learning Implementation Analysis

If you already know what you want and how you want to do it, this stage is about you telling us.

We're good at listening too.

Stage 2
Using our access to an extensive range of subject specialists, tutors and learners we can create quality core course content that will effectively achieve your learning outcomes.

Course Content Development

Alternatively you can provide the course content, maybe from an existing face-to-face course that you deliver.

Stage 3
Our instructional designers will cover everything from suggesting the most effective use of different e-learning authoring tools to proposing the best way of implementing accessibility and usability standards and guidelines, not to mention coming up with the most effective and engaging activities to suit your target learners.

Instructional Design

Our team of designers and developers will create storyboards with sketches of every page of your project, checking with you every step of the way, we will ensure that the choices we make are the most suitable based on critical factors such as the learners' experience, the training needs and the content type. Budgetry and other constraints are also taken into full account.

Stage 4
We will build your learning objects, as specified in the storyboards, on time and on budget.

e-Learning Object Creation

If you have your own developers and just need us for our expertise in adult and community learning and instructional design, our detailed storyboards and technical specs will be all you'll need from here.

Stage 5
Our user testing isn't just a technical exercise, we look at usability, accessibility and how learners engage with our materials.

User Testing

We can user test with a group of your own target learners or alternatively we can provide a group of similar learners for testing.

Stage 6
Our service doesn't need to end when we hand over your e-learning objects, if you need support with delivery to your learners we can provide delivery platforms, classroom guidance and even marketing support.

e-learning Delivery Support

Host your learning objects on your own web site or VLE or have them hosted on www.learners.org.uk or let us provide you with a moodle VLE with full training and support.

The CGfL helps clients understand their learners life, work, goals, and motivations. This enables the WEA CGfL to design solutions that are not only usable but also successful.
