Moodle Training options:
All open workshops are held at WEA Community Grid Offices at the University of Manchester in city centre Manchester.

Introduction to Moodle Workshop Dates: FREE PLACES available

The WEA Community Grid for Learning is working in partnership with MDDA to run these workshops. FREE PLACES are available for residents, community and voluntary groups, and social enterprises. These workshops are funded by the ERDF Broadband for Communities project and are FREE to eligible groups and residents within the city. Click here to download a booking form.

Option 1
An Introduction to Moodle
Half Day Session (includes lunch)

For those looking at Moodle as an option for their e-learning needs, this half day course will introduce you to the Moodle interface and its main features.

  • Communications tools
  • Learning space for content delivery
  • Content creation tools
  • Content repository Learner tracking

Open Workshop Only £ 60
(no prior knowledge required)

Option 2
VLE Administrator Training
1 Day Session (includes lunch + refreshments)

For those who have opted for Moodle as their VLE of choice and who are looking to create a learning space for the delivery of e-learning.

  • Creating course outlines + assigning tutors
  • Setting course variables
  • Creating default settings
  • Creating and editing user accounts
  • Defining course categories  

Open Workshop £ 140 per person
On Site Workshop £765 for up to 4 persons

+ £100 per additional person

Option 3
Course Developer Training
1 Day Session (includes lunch + refreshments)

For those creating and delivering courses using Moodle.

  • Uploading and creating resources + activities
  • Setting and managing assignments
  • Using the communication tools
  • Student management + tracking  

Open Workshop £ 140 per person
On Site Workshop £765 for up to 4 persons

+ £100 per additional person
